Parents' Social Control of Children Using Smartphones at Home During Covid-19

AbstractThis study aims to describe repressive and persuasive controls by parents on their children using smartphones at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The conducted Bhayangkararia BTN complex, Sungai Garam Hilir Village, North Singkawang District. research method used was qualitative in form of a case study. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, documentation studies, while data tools observation guidelines, interview tools. Informants this children. results indicated that have carried out both covid-19 constraint giving warnings punishments who violate rules, such as excessively causes not focus learning. In addition, control directions, persuasion, appeals, guidance so overly use smartphone instilling an understanding positive negative impacts smartphones.
